August Åkerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Kvick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Göran Gudmundsson struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. August Åkerberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Salabacke. In the 21st minute, Jerry Fernström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th match minute, Rosengård was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Ove Granqvist to maneuver through the defense. Folke Hylander charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Folke Hylander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th minute, one of Rosengård:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rosengård. August Åkerberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Göran Gudmundsson's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Jerry Fernström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Gudmundsson in the 38th minute of play forced Rosengård's goalkeeper August Åkerberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Claes Termander managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Salabacke's supporters rose to their feet, but Claes Termander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. August Åkerberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

52 minutes into the match, Rosengård's goal looked a bit too open when Göran Gudmundsson came free, but August Åkerberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Sebastian Kock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stig-Ove Granqvist's late challenge caught a FC Salabacke's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig-Ove Granqvist helped the player get up and apologised. Göran Gudmundsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rosengård's August Åkerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Gudmundsson in the 71st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harry Kvick got free with August Åkerberg in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Sebastian Kock fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosengård's protests and gave Sebastian Kock a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd match minute, Rosengård was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Kock to maneuver through the defense. Göran Gudmundsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. August Åkerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Harry Kvick got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Göran Gudmundsson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 89th playminute. Joseph Öfverman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Ove Granqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harry Kvick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded FC Salabacke left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rosengård.
