In the 7th minute, Emil Täman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Sunnemo's Dan Ekrot sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulf Beck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emil Täman charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emil Täman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sunnemo's Dan Ekrot got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Dan Ekrot fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ulf Beck, passed just outside the right post. If Dan Ekrot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emil Täman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dan Ekrot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulf Beck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Kurt Wallmark kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. FC Gulag were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Sunnemo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jonas Kinnman took the corner. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonatan Vacker was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Sunnemo's Ulf Soned got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Ulf Beck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Ekrot in the 56th minute of play. Björn Abrahamsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isak Hansson having to interfere. FC Gulag's Björn Abrahamsson got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dick Vallin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to FC Gulag getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jonas Kinnman hit a great ball. Ulf Beck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Täman in the 71st minute of play. Ulf Beck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Ekrot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emil Täman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
