Joakim Thedin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agne Martinsson in the 10th minute of the match. Leonard Bergström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Mickelsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Ljungby defense, Hugo Håkansson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joakim Thedin. The Ljungby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joakim Thedin should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Håkansson in the 29th minute of play forced Ljungby's goalkeeper Joakim Thedin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Agne Martinsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Björkö FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Agne Martinsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joakim Thedin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute Agne Martinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joakim Thedin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Agne Martinsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joakim Thedin. Tor Mellberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leonard Bergström. Björkö FF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugo Håkansson to strike the kick off in the second half. Hugo Håkansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joakim Thedin having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Björkö FF's Agne Martinsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joakim Thedin. Joakim Thedin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. When Agne Martinsson came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Björkö FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agne Martinsson couldn't finish the play. Hugo Håkansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joakim Thedin having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Hugo Håkansson put it in 3-4 from a short distance just to the right of Joakim Thedin. In the 89th minute, Arne Mickelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Ljungby:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Björkö FF:s goal. When the final whistle sounded Björkö FF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ljungby.
