Spectators: 7288 (Terracing: 5468, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alvar Nordström started the match with the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Örbypojkarna IF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! In the 4th minute there was a penalty for Månkarbo. Edwin Andersson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Andréas Lindberg. 0-1. Alvar Nordström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 15 minutes, Bo-Erik Igelström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Örbypojkarna IF and the Månkarbo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Gilbert Nilsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andréas Lindberg was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After 23 played minutes Örbypojkarna IF got a freekick which was hit by Bo-Erik Igelström. In the 25th minute, Per-Erik Blom ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andréas Lindberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Gilbert Nilsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andréas Lindberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute Gilbert Nilsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andréas Lindberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alvar Nordström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vilhelm Åkesson having to interfere. Staffan Lindqvist's late challenge caught a Örbypojkarna IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Staffan Lindqvist helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes Månkarbo got a freekick which was hit by Staffan Lindqvist. Sebastian Hegg struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Vilhelm Åkesson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Örbypojkarna IF. If Sebastian Hegg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilbert Nilsson to make the kick off. If Alvar Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilbert Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Evert Pihlberg fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Månkarbo's protests and gave Evert Pihlberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Örbypojkarna IF booed when Månkarbo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evert Pihlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Per-Erik Blom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Andréas Lindberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alvar Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andréas Lindberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Nilsson in the 82nd minute of play. If Per-Erik Blom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilbert Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andréas Lindberg made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Per-Erik Blom sent off a good shot on target. When Evert Pihlberg was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 91 minutes had been played. After 91 played minutes Månkarbo got a freekick which was hit by Evert Pihlberg. Månkarbo played a much better game than Örbypojkarna IF and deserved their victory. The Örbypojkarna IF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
