Erland Sävström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leonardo Bremming came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Leijona's Fred Håkansson. But to his dismay, Fred Håkansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Edgar Vallengren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vätö's Göran Sander shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 38th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Erland Sävström but with some difficulty. In the 41st minute, Simon Petersson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erland Sävström. The goal made the score 2-1. Simon Petersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Erland Sävström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Simon Petersson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Erland Sävström, 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simon Petersson was the one to do the kick off. Edgar Vallengren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonardo Bremming having to make a save. Leonardo Bremming took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Håkansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Edgar Vallengren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leonardo Bremming came out of the goal and Fred Håkansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute of the match Sten Fribäck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonardo Bremming skillfully saved the ball. Sten Fribäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Ekström's late challenge caught a Vätö's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Ekström helped the player get up and apologised. Göran Sander took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erland Sävström. Leijona's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Vätö booed when Leijona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Söderström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erland Sävström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tim Hellström, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Sten Fribäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Bremming having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Vätö's Edward Qvalfeldt got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute Leijona were awarded a corner. Sten Fribäck went to the cornerflag to take it. Leijona's Sten Fribäck was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Leonardo Bremming in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the referee blew the final whistle, Vätö could leave the field as winners, despite Leijona having more of the ball for most of the match.
