Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Folke Kiempe made the kick off and thus started the match. 6 minutes into the match, Södertälje Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Folke Kiempe came free, but Sonny Carlsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Per-Erik Lekberg fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Per-Erik Lekberg in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dan Hallgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 25 minutes into the game, Folke Kiempe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sonny Carlsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 30 minutes, Folke Kiempe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sorunda IFK and the Södertälje Tigers players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 30 played minutes Sorunda IFK got a freekick which was hit by Folke Kiempe. With a little luck, Sorunda IFK's Dan Hallgren got control of the ball when Adrian Smed tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute Dan Lenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Carlsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Sorunda IFK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Per-Erik Lekberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Klas Stephansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sorunda IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klas Stephansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernt Engström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Södertälje Tigers's Sonny Carlsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Kiempe in the 56th minute of play. In the 61st minute Adrian Smed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Hallgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Hallgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johan Koch in the 65th minute of the match. After having played for 71 minutes, Adrian Smed managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Södertälje Tigers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Smed was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Södertälje Tigers players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
