If Stellan Enström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, Ödåkra IFK's goal looked a bit too open when George Björk came free, but Göran Jonsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Jonny Örtendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göran Jonsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Göran Jonsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Björk in the 21st minute of play. Ödåkra IFK's Stellan Enström got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. George Björk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Göran Jonsson having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonny Örtendahl in the 28th minute of play forced Ödåkra IFK's goalkeeper Göran Jonsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddie Nyberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Österberg in the 32nd minute of the match. If Stellan Enström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddie Nyberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Österberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute, Karl Grep hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Arvid Nordin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Dalstorps Akademi FF's Freddie Nyberg didn't even have to move. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonny Örtendahl to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonny Örtendahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Jonsson having to interfere. In the 59th minute Brian Österberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Nyberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kjell-Arne Arvidsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddie Nyberg having to interfere. If Stellan Brandt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Dalstorps Akademi FF's Jonny Örtendahl slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Göran Jonsson. That made the score 0-1 after 72 minutes of play. 78 minutes into the match, Dalstorps Akademi FF's goal looked a bit too open when Brian Österberg came free, but Freddie Nyberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When George Björk came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Dalstorps Akademi FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Björk couldn't finish the play. Jonny Örtendahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Jonsson having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Henrik Söderström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonny Örtendahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
