Spectators: 7281 (Terracing: 5463, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 144) Åke Målare started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 7th play minutes Örjan Berg shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Josef Sjöström and just under the crossbar into goal. After 9 played minutes Grycksbo got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Christoffersson. In the 11th minute, Nils Bergfeldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan-Erik Kinell was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Örjan Berg in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josef Sjöström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Grycksbo booed when Grönahög IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erling Örnberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Örjan Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Åke Målare in the 26th minute of play forced Grönahög IF's goalkeeper Josef Sjöström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Åke Målare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Josef Sjöström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Holger Pihlwall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Örjan Berg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josef Sjöström having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Grönahög IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Magnus Ekberg to maneuver through the defense. Åke Målare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Josef Sjöström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Grönahög IF's Jörn Asplund got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jan-Erik Kinell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörn Asplund in the 60th minute of play. Gilbert Christoffersson kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 62 minutes in the game, Jörn Asplund dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Grycksbo's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Bergfeldt came free, but Jan-Erik Kinell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilbert Christoffersson's late challenge caught a Grönahög IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilbert Christoffersson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Grycksbo's Gilbert Christoffersson got a free kick in the 65th minute. Jan-Erik Kinell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jörn Asplund's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Örjan Berg got free with Josef Sjöström in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Åke Målare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josef Sjöström acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 76th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Andreas Åkerström. Jan-Erik Kinell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Bergfeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Jörn Asplund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Jan-Erik Kinell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jörn Asplund came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Grönahög IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jörn Asplund couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Jörn Asplund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Grönahög IF succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Grycksbo had controlled the match.
