After 35 minutes, Harry Strand mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Högsäter RK and the Ljungsbro players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sigvard Viberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Oskar Sävström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Högsäter RK's Roy Josefsson threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tobias Asmundsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Martin Eriksson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ljungsbro booed when Högsäter RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Strand didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Per-Oskar Sävström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ljungsbro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Högsäter RK the free kick. In the 44th match minute, Ljungsbro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Oskar Sävström to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When Petter Deckberg fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Högsäter RK's protests and gave Petter Deckberg a yellow card for diving instead. Dan Gustavsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sigvard Viberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
