Högsäter RK's Sigvard Viberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Högsäter RK from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Marcus Berglund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Madrid's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus Berglund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sigvard Viberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claes Rudqvist succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 36th playminute. The Högsäter RK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Högsäter RK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
