Gimo RK's Ulf Ferm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Sandström in the 4th minute of play. Fred Juhlin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Ulf Ferm skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gösta Vik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ulf Ferm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elliot Löv kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. If Gösta Vik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Juhlin got free with Ulf Ferm in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute, Ölänningarna's Evert Lindqvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ulf Ferm. Ulf Ferm yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Fred Juhlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ulf Ferm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gösta Vik, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Magne Kämpe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gottfrid Ahlbeck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Elliot Löv shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gottfrid Ahlbeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Juhlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Gimo RK's zone, Gösta Vik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulf Ferm came out of the goal and Gösta Vik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gösta Vik received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ulf Ferm came out and tried to block the shot, but Gösta Vik slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 46th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elliot Löv to strike the kick off in the second half. If Fred Juhlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gösta Vik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulf Ferm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Ölänningarna's Fred Juhlin got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fred Juhlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulf Ferm having to interfere. Gösta Vik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ulf Ferm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulf Ferm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Juhlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Fred Juhlin might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulf Ferm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fred Juhlin ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes into the match, Gimo RK's goal looked a bit too open when Gösta Vik came free, but Ulf Ferm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gösta Vik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gösta Vik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulf Ferm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Magne Kämpe's late challenge caught a Ölänningarna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Magne Kämpe helped the player get up and apologised. Magne Kämpe hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Ulf Ferm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Vik in the 87th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Gösta Vik had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulf Ferm. Gimo RK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gösta Vik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ölänningarna fully deserved thier win.
