They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gösta Vik made a kick off. Svante Blomqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gottfrid Ahlbeck having to interfere. The Gråskala IF manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Ölänningarna to win.
