Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC Gigant's Börje Berg started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Hille IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikael Svanberg to maneuver through the defense. Anton Eklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Lund having to interfere. Joar Biörkquist kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Anton Eklund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Gigant fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. FC Gigant's Olle Granqvist shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 15th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Kurt Lund but with some difficulty. In the 17th minute, FC Gigant's Börje Berg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Arne Vallengren scored 2-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andreas Överman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Andreas Överman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Vallengren in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Hille IF booed when FC Gigant was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johannes Tingberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Malmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andreas Överman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Malmberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Börje Berg in the 41st minute of play forced Hille IF's goalkeeper Kurt Lund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC Gigant booed when Hille IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikael Svanberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when David Malmberg made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Arne Vallengren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hille IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Arne Vallengren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andreas Överman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Malmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kurt Lund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Tingberg in the 64th minute of the match. FC Gigant's Börje Berg got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Anton Eklund came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the FC Gigant fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Eklund couldn't finish the play. In the 70thth minute of the game David Malmberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Gigant's Andreas Överman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andreas Överman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arne Vallengren in the 72nd minute. Kurt Lund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Berg in the 76th minute of play. If Börje Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Eklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Lund having to interfere. FC Gigant's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
