If Henrik Blomqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 10 minutes, Karl-Magnus Qvarnström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gunnarsbyn BF and the BK Gallan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Karl-Magnus Qvarnström kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Christian Lindström might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Per Eriksson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christian Lindström ran back to his position shaking his head. Per Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunnar Qvalfeldt in the 17th minute of the match. Gunnar Qvalfeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Per Eriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Per Eriksson came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gunnarsbyn BF's Gunnar Qvalfeldt. But to his dismay, Gunnar Qvalfeldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Christian Lindström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, August Nässén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When August Nässén came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the BK Gallan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that August Nässén couldn't finish the play. Jens-Åke Bergstedt's late challenge caught a BK Gallan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jens-Åke Bergstedt helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gunnarsbyn BF getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jens-Åke Bergstedt hit a great ball. Mårten Berggren made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when August Nässén sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Lindström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Gunnarsbyn BF got a freekick which was hit by Christian Lindström. Ian Karlsson hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute of the match Tom Eliasson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mårten Berggren skillfully saved the ball. Per Eriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Lindström in the 59th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in BK Gallan's zone, Christian Lindström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per Eriksson came out of the goal and Christian Lindström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 63 minutes into the match, BK Gallan's goalkeeper Per Eriksson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gunnar Qvalfeldt. Henrik Blomqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Mårten Berggren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gunnar Qvalfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. August Nässén struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Mårten Berggren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BK Gallan. With an all-out effort, Gunnarsbyn BF's Per Eriksson threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Christian Lindström, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Per Eriksson made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Gunnar Qvalfeldt sent off a good shot on target. The BK Gallan supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gunnarsbyn BF's performance. The match ended with a win for Gunnarsbyn BF.
