Madagaskar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Sikström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sigvard Kvick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 17 minutes, Tony Bergström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vodafone FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tony Bergström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 minutes, Nils-Åke Nordgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Madagaskar FC and the Vodafone FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Nils-Åke Nordgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Åkerman scored 0-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sigvard Kvick, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elof Stenman's late challenge caught a Madagaskar FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elof Stenman helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vodafone FC's Elof Stenman got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Sebastian Åkerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sigvard Kvick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Åkerman in the 38th minute of the match. Sebastian Åkerman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sigvard Kvick having to make a save. Robin Ahlin hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The Vodafone FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Madagaskar FC were winning 0-1.

Ludvig Andersson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jarl Beck went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Sikström got free with Sigvard Kvick in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute, Sebastian Åkerman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Madagaskar FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tony Bergström in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ludvig Andersson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 69 minutes into the match, Ragnar Brandt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ludvig Andersson. Madagaskar FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ragnar Brandt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. 75 minutes into the match, Sebastian Åkerman notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Vodafone FC's Sigvard Kvick. Sigvard Kvick was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sebastian Åkerman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigvard Kvick having to interfere. Sebastian Åkerman struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Sigvard Kvick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Madagaskar FC. Vodafone FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sebastian Åkerman 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-4. Sigvard Kvick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Åkerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the match was over Madagaskar FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vodafone FC throughout the match.
