They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 57 minutes of play, Österbybruk's Joakim Bållström made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Munkes Barbie Army's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Joakim Bållström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bengt-Rune Holmgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play.
