The supporters of Vikingar och Vargar booed when Alingsås was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Skark didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christer Brovall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Vikingar och Vargar defense, Markus Åström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eskil Persson. The Vikingar och Vargar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eskil Persson should have stopped the shot. In the 17th match minute, Alingsås was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tor Lövgren to maneuver through the defense. Alingsås's Mattias Myhr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Brovall in the 23rd minute of play. In the 28th minute Isac Mårtensson suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 29th minute, Otto Nordstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Vikingar och Vargar's zone, Otto Nordstedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eskil Persson came out of the goal and Otto Nordstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alingsås's Mattias Myhr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Staffan Fredriksson in the 33rd minute of play. Staffan Fredriksson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 36 played minutes Alingsås got a freekick which was hit by Svante Hedin. After 42 played minutes Vikingar och Vargar got a freekick which was hit by Christer Brovall. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Alingsås booed when Vikingar och Vargar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Boman didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Nordstedt in the 67th minute of play forced Vikingar och Vargar's goalkeeper Eskil Persson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Staffan Fredriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Staffan Fredriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Mattias Myhr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eskil Persson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markus Åström in the 83rd minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Vikingar och Vargar's goal looked a bit too open when Otto Nordstedt came free, but Eskil Persson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Staffan Fredriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vikingar och Vargar's supporters rose to their feet, but Staffan Fredriksson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mattias Myhr breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vikingar och Vargar's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
