The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bertil Ahlström during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th match minute, Tvärred FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Ek to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Tvärred FF's zone, Ragnar Myr stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars Söderqwist came out of the goal and Ragnar Myr tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernt Näver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Söderqwist having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ragnar Myr in the 23rd minute of play forced Tvärred FF's goalkeeper Lars Söderqwist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tvärred FF's zone, Bernt Näver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars Söderqwist came out of the goal and Bernt Näver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tvärred FF's goalkeeper Lars Söderqwist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Imperial FC's Bernt Näver got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Mark Ek was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 31 minutes had been played. A collision led to Tvärred FF getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Mark Ek hit a great ball. Viggo Haglund was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bernt Näver could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Lars Söderqwist made a huge save. Bernt Näver might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lars Söderqwist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernt Näver ran back to his position shaking his head. Ragnar Myr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Lars Söderqwist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Adam Groth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lars Söderqwist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ragnar Myr in the 71st minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Imperial FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Adam Groth fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
