Jan Biörk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Wiktor Lange was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sandared FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Västerås United FC the free kick. Jan Biörk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Björn Askelöf in the 27th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Björn Askelöf managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västerås United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Björn Askelöf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Biörk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Björn Askelöf came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Västerås United FC fans jumped to their feet. Björn Askelöf took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan Biörk. Jan Biörk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Västerås United FC's Dennis Lundberg got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Sandared FK's goal looked a bit too open when Björn Askelöf came free, but Jan Biörk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Västerås United FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
