The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dennis Lundberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Nils-Erik Aleberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. David Bank hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Dennis Lundberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Patrik Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isac Blanck kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Bredared BK's Arne Gunnarsson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Västerås United FC. After having played for 15 minutes, Patrik Nordström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bredared BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrik Nordström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isac Blanck kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Carl Hedkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thor Hansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Dennis Lundberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Erik Aleberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Bredared BK booed when Västerås United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Lundberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 minutes of play, Bredared BK's Thor Hansson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carl Hedkvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! 37 minutes into the match, Bredared BK's goal looked a bit too open when Björn Askelöf came free, but Nils-Erik Aleberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dennis Lundberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Nils-Erik Aleberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dennis Lundberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patrik Nordström made a kick off. A collision led to Västerås United FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Isac Blanck hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Sune Boklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thor Hansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Västerås United FC's Dennis Lundberg got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Björn Askelöf in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nils-Erik Aleberg saved Bredared BK from getting behind. After 68 played minutes Västerås United FC got a freekick which was hit by Algot Löfdahl. Thor Hansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Carl Hedkvist managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Bredared BK's Thor Hansson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 79 minutes into the game, Dennis Kuse was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Västerås United FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bredared BK the free kick. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Västerås United FC! In the 80th minute there was a penalty for Bredared BK. Arne Gunnarsson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Carl Hedkvist. 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Västerås United FC's zone, Patrik Nordström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carl Hedkvist came out of the goal and Patrik Nordström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the match, Bredared BK's goal looked a bit too open when Björn Askelöf came free, but Nils-Erik Aleberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 93 minutes, Dennis Lundberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Västerås United FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennis Lundberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Björn Askelöf struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Nils-Erik Aleberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Västerås United FC. Jan-Åke Skröder hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. In the 102ndth minute of the game Patrik Nordström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Västerås United FC's Carl Hedkvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Västerås United FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bredared BK's performance. The match ended with a win for Bredared BK.
