Niclas Samuelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Åke Valrot having to interfere. Börje Söderquist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kasper Hultin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Olenberg in the 22nd minute of play. Björksele IK's Niclas Samuelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Georg Bern in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Per-Åke Valrot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Georg Bern managed to get in a good position for a shot. Björksele IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Georg Bern was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Per-Åke Valrot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niclas Samuelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Per-Åke Valrot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henry Duset sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 42nd minute, Bengt-Arne Vassenius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Niclas Samuelsson came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Björksele IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niclas Samuelsson couldn't finish the play. Georg Bern struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Per-Åke Valrot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Björksele IK. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niclas Samuelsson was the one to do the kick off. If Niclas Samuelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kasper Hultin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Olenberg in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute John Olenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kasper Hultin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If John Olenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Björksele IK's goal looked a bit too open when John Olenberg came free, but Kasper Hultin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Björksele IK were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
