But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tord Busk couldn't finish the play. Claes Beckman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcus Hagberg went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Djurgården FC 's Östen Fransson got a free kick in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Timmersdala's David Blomquist broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Tord Busk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Beckman having to interfere. Djurgården FC 's Claes Beckman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Wennerberg in the 16th minute of play. Tord Busk took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claes Beckman. Claes Beckman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mikael Wennerberg in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claes Beckman saved Djurgården FC from getting behind. In the 26th minute Mikael Wennerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Beckman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tord Busk in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claes Beckman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Timmersdala were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Mikael Wennerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the game, one of Djurgården FC :s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Timmersdala a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by David Blomquist, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Djurgården FC 's Claes Beckman. 0-3. Claes Beckman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikael Wennerberg in the 59th minute of play. When Östen Fransson fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Djurgården FC 's protests and gave Östen Fransson a yellow card for diving instead. After 60 played minutes Djurgården FC got a freekick which was hit by Östen Fransson. Claes Beckman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tord Busk in the 61st minute. Martin Ström might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emil Sandström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin Ström ran back to his position shaking his head. Claes Beckman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tord Busk went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. If Tord Busk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Timmersdala's Claes Beckman threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mikael Wennerberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gabriel Olofsson charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Olofsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Djurgården FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Timmersdala were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
