Bengt-Arne Säv sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Utö's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Wallin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tom Beck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Hallaryd's zone, Stefan Wallin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Beck came out of the goal and Stefan Wallin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sven Tinglöf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eric Beck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Sandberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Marko Vennerberg's late challenge caught a Hallaryd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marko Vennerberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Utö got a freekick which was hit by Marko Vennerberg. Gabriel Nordgren hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Sven Tinglöf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Eric Beck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Eric Beck successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stefan Wallin to make the kick off. The supporters of Utö booed when Hallaryd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvin Vase didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Tom Beck managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Utö's Stefan Wallin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eric Beck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Sandberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Bengt-Arne Säv hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Utö's Eric Beck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven Tinglöf in the 78th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Utö's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Tinglöf came free, but Eric Beck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Utö were furious when William Fastesson was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Utö:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hallaryd:s goal.
