Calle Juhlin hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Björn Lindberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evert Svanér. Länghem FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Björn Lindberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 25 played minutes Gamleby RK got a freekick which was hit by Agne Hamnberg. The supporters of Länghem FF booed when Gamleby RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikael Sundén didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, one of Länghem FF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Länghem FF. In the 34th minute there was a penalty for Gamleby RK. Sebastian Lövkvist stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Evert Svanér. 1-2. If Malte Dahlqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evert Svanér breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Nilsson in the 61st minute of play forced Gamleby RK's goalkeeper Roy Gerdberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes in the game, Björn Lindberg fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Evert Svanér having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Länghem FF's zone, Agne Hamnberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evert Svanér came out of the goal and Agne Hamnberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Gamleby RK's Björn Lindberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Evert Svanér. That made the score 1-3 after 73 minutes of play. Håkan Örtendal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 80 minutes, Malte Dahlqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gamleby RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Malte Dahlqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calle Juhlin during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
