With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nils-Åke Sjöberg in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claes Kellberg saved Napoleons Mandelmassa from getting behind. In the 42nd minute Ludwig Olsmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Kellberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Andréas Sandwall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nils-Åke Sjöberg made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Napoleons Mandelmassa's zone, Nils-Åke Sjöberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claes Kellberg came out of the goal and Nils-Åke Sjöberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th minute, Holsljunga IF's Nils-Åke Sjöberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. In the 80th minute Egon Jakobsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pelle Fransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andréas Sandwall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pelle Fransson having to interfere. When Aaron Nyström fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Napoleons Mandelmassa's protests and gave Aaron Nyström a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Holsljunga IF booed when Napoleons Mandelmassa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Nyström didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Napoleons Mandelmassa getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Dan Hjortsberg hit a great ball. Nils-Åke Sjöberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Claes Kellberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pelle Fransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andréas Sandwall, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Napoleons Mandelmassa's Egon Jakobsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pelle Fransson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Napoleons Mandelmassa fans cheered their team off the field, for while Holsljunga IF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
