After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Richard Söderqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nittorp's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Söderqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimmie Modig breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the match, Nittorp's goalkeeper Carl Kollberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edvin Carlsson. Josef Nyström shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Edvin Carlsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roger Valström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carl Kollberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edvin Carlsson in the 41st minute. After having played for 45 minutes, Edvin Carlsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kvänum IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edvin Carlsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Ragnar Dahlberg made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Nittorp booed when Kvänum IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arvin Hermansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ragnar Dahlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jimmie Modig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Kvänum IK fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Kvänum IK's Roger Valström looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Carl Kollberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvin Carlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After taking down the ball on Kvänum IK's corner Göran Kjellberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Carl Kollberg quite easily take care of the ball. Roger Valström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 76 minutes, Edvin Carlsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kvänum IK and the Nittorp players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olov Abrahamsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmie Modig having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Edvin Carlsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olov Abrahamsson charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olov Abrahamsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kvänum IK's Jimmie Modig proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Kvänum IK from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kvänum IK had won after a very even match.
