Roger Valström started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the game, Jimmy Boström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kvänum IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hakenäset IFK the free kick. The supporters of Hakenäset IFK booed when Kvänum IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmy Boström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven Rang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Jimmie Modig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arvin Hermansson hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Jimmie Modig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfons Gadd in the 8th minute of the match. Jimmie Modig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven Rang in the 12th minute of play. Hakenäset IFK's Melker Helander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Hakenäset IFK from getting a goal against them. Roger Valström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Melker Helander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roger Valström in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melker Helander saved Hakenäset IFK from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edvin Carlsson got free with Melker Helander in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 23 played minutes Hakenäset IFK got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Erik Olsmann. In the 31st match minute, Kvänum IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arvin Hermansson to maneuver through the defense. Edvin Carlsson hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 35th match minute, Kvänum IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimmy Boström to maneuver through the defense. Adam Ivarsson, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Edvin Carlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Melker Helander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven Rang was the one to do the kick off. Jimmie Modig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven Rang in the 60th minute of the match. A collision led to Kvänum IK getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Arvin Hermansson hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute, one of Kvänum IK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kvänum IK. If Edvin Carlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Göran Kjellberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melker Helander having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Hakenäset IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Erik Olsmann to maneuver through the defense. Thomas Norberg hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute Edvin Carlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melker Helander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfons Gadd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Rang in the 81st minute of play forced Kvänum IK's goalkeeper Jimmie Modig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfons Gadd might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jimmie Modig. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfons Gadd ran back to his position shaking his head. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
