After some careless play in the Nittorp defense, Roger Valström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carl Kollberg. The Nittorp fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carl Kollberg should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Ragnar Dahlberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Jimmie Modig however easily saved by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roger Valström in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carl Kollberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute, Arvin Hermansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richard Söderqvist in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimmie Modig saved Kvänum IK from getting behind. Richard Söderqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jimmie Modig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Nittorp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Åke Österberg to maneuver through the defense. Josef Nyström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carl Kollberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Jimmy Boström's late challenge caught a Nittorp's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ragnar Dahlberg got free with Jimmie Modig in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 38 played minutes Kvänum IK got a freekick which was hit by Arvin Hermansson. Nittorp's Ragnar Dahlberg got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvin Carlsson in the 43rd minute of play forced Nittorp's goalkeeper Carl Kollberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edvin Carlsson took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carl Kollberg. Carl Kollberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Nittorp's Carl Kollberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Valström in the 52nd minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Kvänum IK's goal looked a bit too open when Ragnar Dahlberg came free, but Jimmie Modig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
