Pettans Gamla Gubbar's Eskil Fristedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Åke Askelöf in the 15th minute of play. Edwin Lustig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olov Täman having to interfere. Sten Britz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Pettans Gamla Gubbar's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Åke Askelöf came free, but Eskil Fristedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olov Täman made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Edwin Lustig sent off a good shot on target. When Jan-Åke Askelöf came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the towers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Åke Askelöf couldn't finish the play. In the 34th match minute, Pettans Gamla Gubbar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy Brenner to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Edgar Arvidsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. towers's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Arvidsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eskil Fristedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute, Edgar Arvidsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jan-Åke Askelöf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eskil Fristedt having to interfere. Eskil Fristedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Arvidsson in the 45th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Åke Askelöf in the 48th minute of play forced Pettans Gamla Gubbar's goalkeeper Eskil Fristedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Per-Arne Stenman made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Edwin Lustig made a precise shot to the right of Olov Täman. towers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Olov Täman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Arne Stenman, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Jan-Åke Askelöf could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Eskil Fristedt made a huge save. With a little luck, Pettans Gamla Gubbar's Eskil Fristedt got control of the ball when Jan-Åke Askelöf tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jan-Åke Askelöf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Eskil Fristedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Reine Säfström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th play minute Jan-Åke Askelöf came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eskil Fristedt. 2-1. 72 minutes into the game, Pettans Gamla Gubbar's Per-Arne Stenman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olov Täman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 81st minute, Per-Arne Stenman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pettans Gamla Gubbar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. In the 91stth minute of the game Edwin Lustig who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but towers's Olov Täman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Per-Arne Stenman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Olov Täman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olov Täman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwin Lustig in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pettans Gamla Gubbar fans cheered their team off the field, for while towers had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
