Pelle Bergvall was slow to take the kick. During this time Övertorneå IF's players had a chance to rest. Karl-Åke Österlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustav Rolfsson hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Kjell Söderqwist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustav Rolfsson went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Ted Pettersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ted Pettersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 36th minute Ted Pettersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell Söderqwist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Stålman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Stålman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lars Kullander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Stålman in the 45th minute of the match. Ted Pettersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Gustav Rolfsson struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Kjell Söderqwist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ÄR VÄRLDENS SÄMSTA LAG!. If Ted Pettersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Kurt Västerberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Åke Österlund in the 61st minute of play forced ÄR VÄRLDENS SÄMSTA LAG!'s goalkeeper Lars Kullander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronny Brolin hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Lars Kullander made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when André Stålman sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th minute Karl-Åke Österlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Kullander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 71 in the game by André Stålman from a close distance when the talented Lars Kullander managed to make a qualified save. ÄR VÄRLDENS SÄMSTA LAG!'s players were relieved. 73 minutes into the game, ÄR VÄRLDENS SÄMSTA LAG!'s Gustav Rolfsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kjell Söderqwist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Övertorneå IF's Kjell Söderqwist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustav Rolfsson in the 76th minute of play. After 78 minutes Övertorneå IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Olle Kuse who took care of the corner kick. The corner led ÄR VÄRLDENS SÄMSTA LAG!'s Olle Kuse to fire away a dangerous shot which Kjell Söderqwist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 80th minute, André Stålman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lars Kullander was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. André Stålman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Åke Österlund had several of the ÄR VÄRLDENS SÄMSTA LAG!'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 89 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Lars Kullander as he didn't even see the shot coming. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
