After 22 played minutes, Lingbo RK's Bernt Cane shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Niklas Bergman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lingbo RK reached it. Niklas Bergman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bertil Åberg's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. John Vik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Niklas Bergman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute John Vik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Bergman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers John Vik in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niklas Bergman saved Lovikka from getting behind. Ingmar Gustavsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lingbo RK's Axel Rosin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingmar Påk in the 37th minute of play. Niklas Bergman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertil Åberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 46 minutes into the match, John Vik notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Lovikka's Niklas Bergman. Niklas Bergman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Lovikka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingmar Gustavsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lars Kleen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Lingbo RK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
