Spectators: 7213 (Terracing: 5444, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Wilhelm Apelquist kicked off to start the match. Jon Kiempe kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Zebastian Ahlfors notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Åsa IF's Georg Elg. Georg Elg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Åsa IF defense, Zebastian Ahlfors kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georg Elg. The Åsa IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georg Elg should have stopped the shot. Georg Elg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Sigfridsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elof Lundblad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zebastian Ahlfors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Georg Elg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilhelm Apelquist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Lind read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Elof Lundblad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Lind having to make a save. After having played for 29 minutes, Wilhelm Apelquist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åsa IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilhelm Apelquist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ingvar Sigfridsson took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Georg Elg. Georg Elg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Wilhelm Apelquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Lind having to interfere. Tommy Lind made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilhelm Apelquist in the 46th minute of play. The Åsa IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gefle FC were winning 0-3.

Ingvar Sigfridsson struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Georg Elg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gefle FC. When Ingvar Sigfridsson came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Gefle FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingvar Sigfridsson couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Åsa IF's goalkeeper Georg Elg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Zebastian Ahlfors had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ingvar Sigfridsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Lind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Apelquist in the 70th minute of the match. Wilhelm Apelquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Lind having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Zebastian Ahlfors managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gefle FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zebastian Ahlfors was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Georg Elg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute Zebastian Ahlfors shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Elg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ingvar Sigfridsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Georg Elg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Åsa IF's Georg Elg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Åsa IF from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ingvar Sigfridsson got free with Georg Elg in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute, Elof Lundblad made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Lind. Gefle FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. The Åsa IF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gefle FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
