Spectators: 7325 (Terracing: 5495, Seating: 1685, VIP seats: 145) Gunnar Bure started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Einar Asklund kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Fredrik Holmberg took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised John Ryberg. John Ryberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After having played for 9 minutes, Fredrik Holmberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varekil IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrik Holmberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fredrik Holmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fredrik Holmberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Ryberg having to interfere. A collision led to Varekil IK getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Stig Kock hit a great ball. In the 24th minute Fredrik Holmberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Ryberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, FC Madridista's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Holmberg came free, but John Ryberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fredrik Holmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John Ryberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Dahlquist in the 38th minute of play. John Ryberg came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Varekil IK's Fredrik Holmberg. But to his dismay, Fredrik Holmberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Madridista's goalkeeper John Ryberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Fredrik Holmberg made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Gunnar Bure managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Madridista's zone, Stig Kock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Ryberg came out of the goal and Stig Kock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Madridista's John Ryberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrik Holmberg in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Varekil IK getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Adam Petersson hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Fredrik Holmberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Ryberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Kristian Björkdahl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Stig Kock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Madridista's John Ryberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrik Holmberg in the 77th minute of play. Stig Kock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. John Ryberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Varekil IK played a much better game than FC Madridista and deserved their victory. The FC Madridista players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
