Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when John Enegren got the match started through his kick off. After 2 played minutes Rimbo FK got a freekick which was hit by Sven Söderberg. When Tomas Kihlberg came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Virestad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Kihlberg couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dan Johansson in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristian Hellgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If John Enegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Johansson in the 12th minute of play forced Rimbo FK's goalkeeper Kristian Hellgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Egon Kilstedt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rimbo FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Virestad the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Rimbo FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Virestad:s goal. After 21 minutes, Gustaf Andberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Virestad and the Rimbo FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Virestad's Gustaf Andberg got a free kick in the 21st minute. Rimbo FK's Bertil Berg got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. John Enegren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute, Dan Johansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the game, one of Virestad:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 40 minutes into the game, Sven Söderberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rimbo FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Virestad the free kick. If Bertil Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gösta Eckegren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Niclas Lindmark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bertil Berg was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Gösta Eckegren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niclas Lindmark was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Bertil Berg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Niclas Lindmark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gösta Eckegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertil Berg in the 68th minute of play forced Virestad's goalkeeper Niclas Lindmark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st match minute, Virestad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Kihlberg to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bertil Berg in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niclas Lindmark prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gösta Eckegren scored 3-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niclas Lindmark, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dan Johansson let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 80th minute shot 3-2 at rihgt post. In the 84th minute, Gösta Eckegren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niclas Lindmark was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. 88 minutes into the match, Bertil Berg notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Virestad's Niclas Lindmark. Niclas Lindmark was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Gösta Eckegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertil Berg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Niclas Lindmark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rimbo FK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Virestad had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
