Stig-Ove Wikander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ian Örtendal scored 2-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stig-Ove Wikander, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Christian Jakobsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stig-Arne Högman having to make a save. Sollentuna FK's Stig-Ove Wikander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rikard Tunander in the 43rd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonas Pilgren made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jimmy Molander in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stig-Ove Wikander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stig-Ove Wikander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rikard Tunander in the 55th minute of play. Stig-Ove Wikander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Salqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the game, Rikard Tunander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Stig-Ove Wikander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rikard Tunander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Jimmy Molander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig-Ove Wikander having to interfere. There was no doubt that Blattnicksele were the better team. Blattnicksele's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
