Daniel Bålström came out of the goal and Folke Wallin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christer Bjurström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jimmie Boman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Isaksson in the 16th minute. Västerås IFK's Daniel Bålström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Bjurström in the 18th minute of play. Västerås IFK's Karl-Magnus Västerberg got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christer Bjurström in the 28th minute of play forced Västerås IFK's goalkeeper Daniel Bålström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Christer Bjurström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Bålström was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Karl-Magnus Västerberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Daniel Bålström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christer Bjurström in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st match minute, Västerås IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Ahlstedt to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 82 minutes, Folke Wallin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
