Spectators: 7277 (Terracing: 5460, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Thomas Ljungberg got the match started through his kick off. Josef Brovall kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. When Thomas Ljungberg came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the U.C. AlbinoLeffe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Ljungberg couldn't finish the play. Erik Sjöman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 15 played minutes Öxabäck got a freekick which was hit by Sven Söder. Birger Alefors scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jens-Ove Falck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to U.C. AlbinoLeffe getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Karl-Åke Edström hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, U.C. AlbinoLeffe's goalkeeper Svante Bagge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erik Sjöman. Ronny Örtendahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to U.C. AlbinoLeffe getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Karl-Åke Edström hit a great ball. The supporters of U.C. AlbinoLeffe booed when Öxabäck was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Lindkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Öxabäck players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. U.C. AlbinoLeffe were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronny Örtendahl made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match, Birger Alefors got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jens-Ove Falck was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thomas Ljungberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Birger Alefors got free with Jens-Ove Falck in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thomas Ljungberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Ove Falck having to interfere. Viktor Lindkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to U.C. AlbinoLeffe getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Sven-Oskar Sefastsson hit a great ball. If Ronny Örtendahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. U.C. AlbinoLeffe's Thomas Ljungberg got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Öxabäck's goalkeeper Jens-Ove Falck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Birger Alefors. In the 81st minute, Ronny Örtendahl ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Svante Bagge was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Birger Alefors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute U.C. AlbinoLeffe were awarded a corner. Marcus Stenquist went to the cornerflag to take it. U.C. AlbinoLeffe's Marcus Stenquist was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jens-Ove Falck in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the U.C. AlbinoLeffe players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
