Markus Blom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilgot Malmberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Gottfrid Kullgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Kristian Wallman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Markus Blom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Ove Hökqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pontus Henriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristian Wallman having to interfere. Aaron Boman might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristian Wallman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aaron Boman ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Ed booed when Skötholm BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henning Landin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Ed's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Häger came free, but Kristian Wallman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42ndth minute of the game Johnny Häger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ed's Kristian Wallman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 43 played minutes Ed got a freekick which was hit by Vilgot Malmberg. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Arvid Örtendal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skötholm BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Arvid Örtendal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristian Wallman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gottfrid Kullgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johnny Häger in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristian Wallman prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
