Roland Palm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kjell-Arne Hedlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Kjell-Arne Hedlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Palm having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Hermes Gobbar's goal looked a bit too open when Kjell-Arne Hedlund came free, but Roland Palm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingvar Skröder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Palm having to interfere. In the 22ndth minute of the game Ingvar Skröder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hermes Gobbar's Roland Palm was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Hermes Gobbar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Oskar Granberg to maneuver through the defense. Roland Palm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Skröder in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Kjell-Arne Hedlund notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Hermes Gobbar's Roland Palm. Roland Palm was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 36th minute, Ingvar Skröder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute Lennart Dahlgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Grep saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ingvar Skröder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Palm having to interfere. Ulf Lövgren's late challenge caught a Larsberg IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulf Lövgren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute of the match Robert Bergman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roland Palm showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ingvar Skröder was the one to do the kick off. If Karl-Oskar Bjursell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hermes Gobbar's Lennart Dahlgren in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Larsberg IF's goalie prevented a goal. Ingvar Skröder's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roland Palm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. In the 60thth minute of the game Lennart Dahlgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Larsberg IF's Henry Grep was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 64th minute, Kjell-Arne Hedlund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Hermes Gobbar's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Skröder came free, but Roland Palm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kjell-Arne Hedlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 played minutes Hermes Gobbar got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Lövgren. Kjell-Arne Hedlunds short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Roland Palm to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Roland Palm came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Larsberg IF's Kjell-Arne Hedlund. But to his dismay, Kjell-Arne Hedlund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Ingvar Skröder kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roland Palm. That made the score 0-3 in the 82 minute of play. Henry Grep made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Oskar Bjursell in the 88th minute of play. Hermes Gobbar's Roland Palm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Hermes Gobbar from getting a goal against them. In the 91st minute Lennart Dahlgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Grep saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Hermes Gobbar's Ulf Lövgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henry Grep narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Larsberg IF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
