Spectators: 6664 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ingvar Söderqwist took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute of the match Kalle Fransson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan-Erik Westerstrand showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ingvar Söderqwist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan-Erik Westerstrand having to make a save. Mathias Ersman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Erik Westerstrand having to interfere. Holger Forssell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Vilhelm Lingren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kjell-Arne Vall hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Jan-Erik Westerstrand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Söderqwist, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Ingvar Söderqwist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borås BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingvar Söderqwist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Erik Westerstrand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 29 minutes, Vilhelm Lingren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borås BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vilhelm Lingren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 30 minutes of play, Borås BK's Ingvar Söderqwist made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan-Erik Westerstrand was left in no man's land by his defense there! Borås BK's Ingvar Söderqwist got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ingvar Söderqwist in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan-Erik Westerstrand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Martin Vester hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Hjalmar Vibjörnsson, 41 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 44th minute, Vilhelm Lingren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Borås BK's Hjalmar Vibjörnsson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Äng. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Holger Forssell to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathias Ersman got free with Jan-Erik Westerstrand in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the match, Mathias Ersman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan-Erik Westerstrand. Äng's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathias Ersman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ingvar Söderqwist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Jan-Erik Westerstrand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ingvar Söderqwist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Borås BK's Ingvar Söderqwist in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Äng's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Ingvar Söderqwist put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Jan-Erik Westerstrand. Holger Forssell struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Herman Collin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Äng. If Ingvar Söderqwist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Borås BK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
