Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of Kvänum RK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Röda Stjärnan:s goal. Örjan Mellin had in the 9thth minute some difficulties stopping Lennart Bäck's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Bengt-Åke Ekeroth in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Freddie Lundqvist, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bengt-Åke Ekeroth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Freddie Lundqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt-Åke Ekeroth struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Freddie Lundqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kvänum RK. Bengt-Åke Ekeroth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Röda Stjärnan's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Rune Persson came free, but Freddie Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Röda Stjärnan's goalkeeper Freddie Lundqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt-Åke Ekeroth. With a little luck, Röda Stjärnan's Freddie Lundqvist got control of the ball when Bengt-Åke Ekeroth tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute Bengt-Rune Persson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bengt-Rune Persson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Freddie Lundqvist made a huge save. Bengt-Rune Persson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddie Lundqvist having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Rune Persson in the 43rd minute of play forced Röda Stjärnan's goalkeeper Freddie Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th match minute, Röda Stjärnan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rune Björkman to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bengt-Rune Persson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Bengt-Rune Persson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bengt-Åke Ekeroth came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Kvänum RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt-Åke Ekeroth couldn't finish the play. Freddie Lundqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt-Åke Ekeroth, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Bengt-Rune Persson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Freddie Lundqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Rickard Brovall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arman Vacker was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Kvänum RK's Bengt-Rune Persson got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Kvänum RK's Bengt-Rune Persson in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Röda Stjärnan's goalie prevented a goal. Tobias Alstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Åke Ekeroth in the 80th minute of play forced Röda Stjärnan's goalkeeper Freddie Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bengt-Åke Ekeroth in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Freddie Lundqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Röda Stjärnan's zone, Bengt-Åke Ekeroth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddie Lundqvist came out of the goal and Bengt-Åke Ekeroth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Per-Arne Asplund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bengt-Rune Persson took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Freddie Lundqvist. Freddie Lundqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The supporters of Röda Stjärnan booed when Kvänum RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Arne Asplund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kvänum RK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
