After a rather tough play, Bengans Boys's Thomas Sander got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 7th match minute, Kalmar FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Uter to maneuver through the defense. Kalmar FF's Ivar Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Thedin in the 8th minute of play. Emil Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Majman in the 11th minute of play. Åke Thedin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivar Nordström having to interfere. If Lucas Ström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Majman might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emil Mattsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. George Majman ran back to his position shaking his head. After 28 minutes of play, Kalmar FF's Lucas Ström made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emil Mattsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bengans Boys's Åke Thedin got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Lucas Ström made a precise shot to the right of Emil Mattsson. Bengans Boys's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After the first half Kalmar FF were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Kalmar FF's Lucas Ström got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Bengans Boys's Emil Mattsson got control of the ball when Lucas Ström tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute Christer Frykberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dag Eklund kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, George Majman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kalmar FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bengans Boys the free kick. In the 67th minute, George Majman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Karl-Michael Andreasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emil Mattsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dag Eklund in the 77th minute. Karl-Michael Andreasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivar Nordström having to interfere. Emil Mattsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Majman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peter Uter hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute of the match Hugo Kjellberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivar Nordström skillfully saved the ball. In the 96th minute George Majman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When George Majman came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Kalmar FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Majman couldn't finish the play. The Kalmar FF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
