An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Nordin in the 3rd minute of play forced FC George Wassouf's goalkeeper Andréas Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Vasalund's Claes Dahlqvist got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute, Per-Erik Waller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Vasalund booed when FC George Wassouf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pär Gunnarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Douglas Ryberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andréas Lundqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 21st minute, Ingvar Nordin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andréas Lundqvist came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Vasalund's Douglas Ryberg. But to his dismay, Douglas Ryberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The audience was convinced that Douglas Ryberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andréas Lundqvist was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Ingvar Nordin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Andréas Lundqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Ingvar Nordin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andréas Lundqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Douglas Ryberg struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Andréas Lundqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vasalund. The FC George Wassouf players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vasalund were winning 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Petter Lundin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, FC George Wassouf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petter Lundin to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Ingvar Nordin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andréas Lundqvist was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. 64 minutes into the game, Douglas Ryberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Andréas Lundqvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 69 minutes into the match, Douglas Ryberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andréas Lundqvist. FC George Wassouf's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Douglas Ryberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. If Douglas Ryberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 77th minute, Marcus Ahlström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of FC George Wassouf booed when Vasalund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pontus Högström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, William Jansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 86 minutes, Marcus Ahlström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC George Wassouf and the Vasalund players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC George Wassouf! When the match had been going on for 87 minutes, Vasalund's Pontus Högström got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Andréas Lundqvist. Petter Lundin was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 92nd minute, Petter Lundin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Pontus Högström fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vasalund's protests and gave Pontus Högström a yellow card for diving instead. After 98 played minutes Vasalund got a freekick which was hit by Pontus Högström. When the match was over Vasalund could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC George Wassouf throughout the match.
