Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Viggo Magnusson made the kick off which started today's match. After a defensive mix-up in IFK Malmö's zone, Viggo Magnusson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mats Asmundsson came out of the goal and Viggo Magnusson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 6 minutes into the match, Virestad's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Asklund came free, but Ronny Sjögren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronny Sjögren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inge Arvidsson in the 8th minute of the match. Inge Arvidsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ronny Sjögren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Inge Arvidsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronny Sjögren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Mats Asmundsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viggo Magnusson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inge Arvidsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronny Sjögren having to interfere. Anton Asklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ronny Sjögren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute Viggo Magnusson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Asmundsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uno Stor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mats Asmundsson having to make a save. Virestad's Ronny Sjögren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Asklund in the 32nd minute of play. Anton Asklund took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronny Sjögren. Ronny Sjögren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anton Asklund to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Virestad's goalkeeper Ronny Sjögren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Inge Arvidsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olof Kalfhage kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Mats Asmundsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uno Stor in the 66th minute of the match. Johannes Linqvist hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Virestad's Ronny Sjögren got control of the ball when Inge Arvidsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Virestad's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Asklund came free, but Ronny Sjögren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Virestad's Markus Abelsson got a free kick in the 80th minute. Inge Arvidsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Anton Asklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simon Bivall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Inge Arvidsson came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the IFK Malmö fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inge Arvidsson couldn't finish the play. Joacim Skålberg hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
