The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

If Gustaf Sjöman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Holger Jansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jon Skålberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led FC Kangaroo Wojc's Sten Qvarnström to fire away a dangerous shot which Holger Jansson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jon Skålberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Holger Jansson having to interfere. Albert Stenquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jon Eklund in the 83rd minute. In the 89th minute Jon Skålberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Jansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute Gustaf Sjöman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Stenquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albert Stenquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaf Sjöman in the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mellerudstorp IF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
