Spectators: 6669 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 0) Algot Ståhlman started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Holmsund's Henry Kinell got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 6th minute of the match Uno Jakobsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uno Mikaelsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nils-Erik Norberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 played minutes Grangärde got a freekick which was hit by Åke Björk. After a defensive mix-up in Holmsund's zone, Axel Stålberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uno Mikaelsson came out of the goal and Axel Stålberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Axel Stålberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee gave Grangärde a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Uno Jakobsson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Holmsund's Uno Mikaelsson. 1-2. When Axel Stålberg came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Grangärde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Stålberg couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Algot Ståhlman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uno Mikaelsson was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 35th match minute, Holmsund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Kinell to maneuver through the defense. If Axel Stålberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Axel Stålberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Algot Ståhlman struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Uno Mikaelsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grangärde. The Grangärde fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Grangärde's Algot Ståhlman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sten Brander was the one to do the kick off. Axel Stålberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Uno Mikaelsson made a huge save. Holmsund's Uno Mikaelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Algot Ståhlman in the 54th minute of play. In the 54th minute, Henry Kinell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Axel Stålberg got free in front of the goal in the 57th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Uno Mikaelsson was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Nils-Erik Norberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Georg Linberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Algot Ståhlman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Uno Mikaelsson made a huge save. Axel Stålberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uno Mikaelsson having to interfere. If Axel Stålberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uno Mikaelsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Algot Ståhlman's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. 1-4 became the score in the 68th minute when Axel Stålberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 72nd match minute, Grangärde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kim Örtendahl to maneuver through the defense. Uno Mikaelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Algot Ståhlman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Holmsund's Uno Mikaelsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Holmsund from getting a goal against them. Axel Stålberg came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Uno Mikaelsson could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Stålberg got free with Uno Mikaelsson in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Holmsund's Uno Mikaelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Algot Ståhlman in the 85th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Holmsund's goal looked a bit too open when Algot Ståhlman came free, but Uno Mikaelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boris Billing hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Grangärde's Uno Jakobsson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Holmsund. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Axel Stålberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grangärde's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Stålberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uno Mikaelsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grangärde played a much better game than Holmsund and deserved their victory. The Holmsund players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
