Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when David Asplund got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th match minute, Holmsund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Rönn to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute of the match Valdemar Linquist sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uno Mikaelsson skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Holmsund getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Nils-Erik Norberg hit a great ball. Valdemar Linquist was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 11th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Uno Mikaelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertil Åkerström in the 14th minute of play. Bertil Åkerström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Uno Mikaelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sten Brander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th match minute, SpVgg Sauerkraut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Göransson to maneuver through the defense. Holmsund's Nils-Erik Norberg got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Asplund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Asplund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uno Mikaelsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Nils-Erik Norberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jan-Olof Örtendal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sten Brander to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Holmsund booed when SpVgg Sauerkraut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max Sigfridsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sten Brander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Jan-Olof Örtendal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th match minute, Holmsund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Rönn to maneuver through the defense. Jan-Olof Örtendal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Erik Norberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After 71 minutes of play, SpVgg Sauerkraut's Bertil Åkerström made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Uno Mikaelsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! SpVgg Sauerkraut's Jan-Olof Örtendal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Brander in the 75th minute of play. Nils-Erik Norberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Olof Örtendal having to interfere. Uno Mikaelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bertil Åkerström in the 88th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bertil Åkerström got free with Uno Mikaelsson in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Uno Mikaelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bertil Åkerström in the 94th minute. Holmsund's Uno Mikaelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Asplund in the 96th minute of play. SpVgg Sauerkraut's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
