Nils-Erik Norberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georg Linberg having to interfere. In the 36th minute Algot Ståhlman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uno Mikaelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match, Axel Stålberg got a very nice opportunity to score, but Uno Mikaelsson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Algot Ståhlman in the 40th minute of play forced Holmsund's goalkeeper Uno Mikaelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Holmsund's goalkeeper Uno Mikaelsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 48thth minute of the game Algot Ståhlman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Holmsund's Uno Mikaelsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sten Brander was the one to do the kick off. The Grangärde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.
