Elliott Linquist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tanek Madej read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After 77 played minutes IFK Nyköping got a freekick which was hit by Matthias Söderberg. The supporters of Katrineholms AIK booed when IFK Nyköping was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Söderberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Torgny Nyström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roger Siöberg. There was no doubt that IFK Nyköping were the better team. IFK Nyköping's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
