An unexpectedly hard shot by August Forssberg in the 31st minute of play forced Sköndals IK's goalkeeper Sören Paulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35thth minute of the game Stellan Lilja who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aston support's Evert Sundström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If August Forssberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th play minute Stellan Lilja came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Evert Sundström. 3-0. Evert Sundström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stellan Lilja, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stellan Lilja made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Mihnea Berbec had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Gösta Juhlin charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gösta Juhlin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sköndals IK booed when Aston support was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gösta Juhlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Simonsson struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Evert Sundström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sköndals IK. After a defensive mix-up in Aston support's zone, Elias Mattsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evert Sundström came out of the goal and Elias Mattsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aston support's Evert Sundström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bento Reyna in the 68th minute of play. Evert Sundström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stellan Lilja's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Elias Mattsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sköndals IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Mattsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evert Sundström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 74 minutes into the match, Stellan Lilja had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evert Sundström. Aston support's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stellan Lilja was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Kennet Ståhlman took a quick shot and it went in 5-1 without a chance for Sören Paulin to make any attempt to save it. Emanuel Lindberg kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The Sköndals IK fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Sköndals IK's Stellan Lilja looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Stellan Lilja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bento Reyna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
